Taryn Kelly is an M.Sc. student in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Calgary, supervised by Dr. Sarah Manske. She holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Physiology from the University of Alberta. Her research focuses on using weight-bearing CT imaging to investigate recurrent lateral patellofemoral instability and the relationship between rotational knee alignment and patellar instability. Through this work, she aims to better understand the biomechanical factors contributing to patellar instability and evaluate the potential clinical utility of weight-bearing CT for patient assessment and surgical planning. Originally from Vancouver Island, Taryn enjoys spending time outdoors, especially in the mountains and at the beach. Now living in Calgary, she is excited to explore the surrounding mountains and hopes to spend plenty of time skiing over the winter season.
