Nina is a PhD student in Biomedical Engineering (Medical Imaging Specialization) at the University of Calgary, supervised by Dr. Sarah Manske. She completed her BSc in Biomechanics at the University of Calgary, where her undergraduate research focused on head impact biomechanics. After her undergraduate degree, she joined the Bone Imaging Lab as a Research Coordinator and later completed an MSc in Biomedical Engineering, using quantitative CT to study bone changes following acute knee injuries. Her PhD research focuses on better understanding the role bone marrow lesions play in osteoarthritis development and progression.
